We take reservations for lunch, dinner and accommodation 6 months in advance of the month we are in. Private dining room bookings are accepted up to 12 months in advance.
Please note that we are unable to accept any bedroom reservation without an accompanying restaurant booking. A room reservation automatically guarantees a table reservation. PLEASE NOTE we are not permitted to take “room only” bookings. If you ask to cancel your restaurant reservation then the room booking will automatically cancel. If you cancel your room we cannot guarantee a non-resident table will be available in the restaurant.
Room bookings are confirmed by full payment of the room rate at the time the reservation is made.
Bedroom reservations should be cancelled 7 days or more prior to the arrival date in order to receive a refund of the room rate paid at the time of booking. If you cancel a room booking your restaurant reservation is automatically cancelled.
Please note that our restaurant opening times are strictly 12 noon for lunch and 7pm for dinner. As a “restaurant with bedrooms”, rather than an “hotel”, with limited bar and lounge facilities, unfortunately we are unable to host you if you arrive ahead of these times.
You may notice us checking in or out our staying guests, whilst preparing the restaurant ready to welcome you. Please rest assured that we work hard right up to opening, to ensure all arrangements are in place, ready to welcome you.

Children and Babes-in-arms are welcome in the private room
We ask our private dining parties to select one set menu for the whole table in advance. This choice will be served to the entire table. We will, of course, cater for anyone with special dietary requirements
In advance of your visit, please notify us of any dietary allergies or intolerances. All the dishes are prepared “a la minute” therefore your Maitre d’ will discuss any modifications with you on the day. Your safety and enjoyment are our top priority, however we cannot guarantee against cross-contamination, since we have one kitchen only.
Guests are kindly advised that, if you wish to take a discreet photo please refrain from using any flash and kindly respect the privacy of others.
The use of mobile phones should be restricted in the dining room.
Please be aware that our restaurant dress code is “elegantly smart”. Although gentlemen do not need to wear a jacket or tie, long trousers are compulsory. Casual sportswear is not permitted in the restaurant or on the terrace by the river. Please note that entry to the restaurant will be entirely at the management’s discretion, should this guidance be unheeded. Thank you for your kind understanding.
