Behind the scenes, a brigade of white-clad chefs work together, combining their passion for quality produce and painstaking preparation with an almost military precision. 

It might be a hotbed of creative talent, but our kitchen is a refreshingly comfortable place to work, thanks to the £1.5 million makeover in the winter of 2008/2009. Ergonomically designed to ensure easier service, it boasts the latest high-specification steam ovens and induction hobs, as well as a plancha grill and rotisserie. Not content with saving the chefs’ energy, which they can redirect into their cooking, the kitchen’s redesign has seen an overall saving of 20-30% on the energy bill.
